A few years ago, I felt kind of stuck. My husband and I had been married a few years, and the demands of daily life kept our hands so full that I wondered if in a decade or two I’d look back and say, “What just happened?” and notice that we had some big family goals and dreams that were put on hold or ignored for the “next most pressing thing.”
…and that was how my life was before we had multiple kids.
In an effort to better savor the beautiful “dailyness” of our lives, as well as make plans to bring our greatest hopes for our family life to fruition as we grew in age and family size, my husband and I took time to design a family mission. It was actually one of the best activities we have ever done together.
For years, I wanted to make this process of designing a mission available to other families, so others could reap the awesome benefits of having a guiding purpose and roadmap – totally unique to their family. I saw how our mission helped us
- achieve goals,
- make decisions more easily (both the small, every day choices and the big, life-altering decisions),
- bring definition and direction to our family,
- practice a more intentional faith,
- and become better versions of ourselves.
Do you ever feel like you get caught up in the busyness of day-to-day life and forget the bigger picture?
The faith you want to intentionally pass on to your kids, the adventurous spirit you want to possess, the virtues you want to grow in, the goals you want to achieve as a family – these are the dreams you care about the most, but sometimes put the least amount of time into bringing to life.
I’ve got a new and impactful workshop that will be a game-changer for you. The Design Your Family Mission Workshop will teach you why having a mission is a game-changer for intentional family life. I’ll guide you through the simple, step-by-step process for creating a mission unique to your family, and give you tips for how to live it. The workshop also comes with a slide presentation, 27-minute audio tutorial, and three printables/worksheets.
Make a commitment to not to let the “next most pressing thing” sideline your family dreams. Check out a free preview of the workshop here. If you’re like me – and you are passionate about building an intentional faith and family life with simple strategies to get you there – you’ll be really glad you did.
