Thanks for joining me at the Catholic Moms Summit! If you haven’t already, please make sure you’re signed up for my email list (pop in your email at the bottom of this post) so you can access my free resource library, get updates about our newest children’s books, and occasionally hear from me about other awesome resources for Catholic Moms.
Here are some of the tools and resources I mentioned in my talk: 3 Tools to Form Your Children into Little Disciples
First Faith Treasury Books: My line of good, true, and beautiful Catholic children’s books. I’d tell you which ones are our favorites, but they kind of all are (for different reasons)! You can purchase them from TANBooks.com, Amazon, or hopefully a Catholic bookstore near you. They are SUPER on sale right now (until Nov. 15th 2020 – BOGO on all of our titles OR you can get the ENTIRE library of First Faith Treasury books for 40% off. Shop the sale here.)
**The Elijah book I mentioned in my talk, Listening for God: Silence Practice for Little Ones, is now available for pre-order!**
My Amazon storefront: Easy access links to some of my favorite products, books, and resources available around Amazon.
Our Catholic Hymns: Disc #2 on this set. Great collection of songs and both the adults and kids find the music pleasurable!
Flameless candles and flameless tea lights: I used these for a while and then just got my children used to real candles around during prayer time (little kids love to snuff them out)! I recommend beeswax or my personal favorites for prayer time, Corda Candles.
TAN’s Story of the Bible: We love both the Old Testament and New Testament dramatized audio CDs. Great resource for the whole family! Available from TANBooks.com and from Amazon.
Truth & Life Dramatized Audio Bible New Testament: The literal English RSV-CE New Testament is ‘performed’ for you in radio drama style by more than 70 actors.
Jesus Calling Bible Storybook: This is a great one for the little ones. The narrator’s voice is quite classy and soothing, too, so my kiddos love this at bedtime!
Shining Light Dolls: I painted a wooden saint doll set for my kids, but Shining Light Dolls, available through their website and through Amazon, is a great option if you don’t want the DIY work! There are also some beautiful wooden saint peg dolls available from various Catholic etsy shops.
Chews Life: great selection of rosaries, chaplets, and other handheld prayer items for the little ones. Some also available on Amazon.
Favorite children’s Bibles, catechisms, and other faith study books: Go to this list name in my Amazon storefront for a list of some of my favorite Catholic book staples. I also have an abbreviated liturgical living booklist in the free resource library on my website.
Devotional Stories for Little Folks: this is our favorite “tea time” devotional! Great stories that grab my children’s attention and keep them engaged, asking questions, and sparking discussion the whole way through. I love the accompanying Scripture verses and Catechism references, too!
Education in Virtue cards: We love these Education in Virtue Cards that have “looks like/sounds like” explanations of each virtue, illustrations, corresponding prayers, saint stories, and Bible verses.
Head & Heart: Becoming Spiritual Leaders for Your Family: My book to help moms and dads become the spiritual “heads” and “hearts” of their homes. Lots of practical tips, example stories and ideas from other families, leveled implementation strategies, and wisdom from Scripture, the saints, and the Church. Ideal for individual reading, to read as a couple, or for moms group.
My prayer journals: Check out A Spouse Who Prays and A Parent Who Prays in particular. These have changed the way I pray for my husband and kids. So much more meaningful and intentional now as I pray through these 52 unique intentions for them throughout the year.
Catholic Family Crate: I didn’t mention this in my talk but I LOVE these beautiful subscription boxes aimed at making liturgical living and faith at home so easy and fun. They incorporate the tools I mentioned in my talk, too, so it really is an awesome resource for helping form your children into little disciples!
My social media pages: I’m most active on Instagram and also present on Facebook. Follow these accounts for more regular postings of my favorite books, products, resources, and ideas for Catholic moms and kids (for example, I’ve got a story highlight on Instagram featuring my favorite series books for Catholic kids – I think you’ll love them). Excited to connect with you!
